It’s A Gift…

Wow.

Today’s call was really insightful.

Amazing to hear so many people with different beliefs, opinions and viewpoints coming together with the goal of seeking, finding, understanding & applying truth in their lives.

It’s often said that the 3 things you NEVER want to talk about in a public setting are God, Religion & Politics.

Here’s something to ponder…

… aren’t those some of the most important things we SHOULD be talking about?

I think the reason people typically shy away from those topics is because of a lack of mutual respect for differing ideas and viewpoints.

We all have fixed ideas and when we hear things that seem to be in conflict with those fixed ideas, our natural tendency is to want to stand up for & fight for those conclusions that we’ve come to, love so much & hold so dear.

It’s through tolerance & as Stephen Covery put it = = => Seeking first to UNDERSTAND and then to be UNDERSTOOD that leads us to peace, understanding and to the discovery of truth that can set us free.

This call, our community is a great example of what the world needs more of.
